The White Earth - Andrew McGahan

Hello folks, A new member here just saying hello and wondering how many of you are interested in Australian books? I've just finished The White Earth by Andrew McGahan, a book which, though a little difficult to get into initially, I found very rewarding. Juxtaposed with the great land rights debate of the 1990s we had here in Australia, the book shimmers in the Queensland heat with themes of family, possession, land rights, history (white and aboriginal) and struggle for land. I loved it and would like to read more of McGahan's works. Have any DJers read any and recommend any of his other books ? I'd love to hear your thoughts.
