I enjoy writing but every once in a while, something rubs me the wrong way. This morning, it is the anti-aging miracle that shows a before-after image side by side. My thoughts are do marketers really believe that, although the focus is indeed on the lip lines, do people NOT allow their eyes to wander upwards just a fraction of an inch and take notice of the nostrils? They are not even of the same person! The nose shape is exceedingly different in the two frames, regardless of the lips. How many will see this and identify with the lines in the lips and make the purchase with their vulnerable esteems and limited funds? I mean, you don't need surgery, right? Surgical procedures may be more costly but they are effective. Combination injections of Botox and Restaylin are significantly effective in reducing lines of a deeper nature even though it may only be a 1/2 year fix at max. But for one who saves their money, at about $50-$60 or less a month for a combo treatment, the benefits may be worth it. Its up to the individual who GETS the procedure to decide if it is worth it or not...not the judgmental world of extreme opinions or those lost in a sea of platitudes or even those who feel that one should be comfortable with their self as is. A woman who enjoys a pair of big ol breasts; a man who has pec implants; permanent eye lining; tattoos; waxing; pedis and manis; a new fishing pole....everyone has their thing that makes them feel better. But this false advertising...it just rubs me the wrong way. I fell like Peter Griffin...What grinds my gears! The stretch marks (with no reduction in size) with a tan and belly button piercing? Oh, yea...that makes it so much better!
