Ah. The frustration of the wonderful? world of digital electronics.
So, here’s what happened…I think. And while you laugh, I’ll cry.
Early this morning I published this story:
Dad Hammers Phone After Teen Rang Up $4,750 in Texting Charges
Everything looked fine after I activated it, so I went on to start writing an opinion piece on the FDA, which pulled a drug to be used by the dying only, because it
might be hazardous to their health, only to have the pill story headline attach itself to the hammered phone story.
I edited it. And re-edited it. And re-re-edited it. All to no avail.
I finally SOSed Chris Hogg, who couldn’t figure where the evil glitch genie was residing, but thankfully, he was able to deactivate the article.
In a way I’m sorry the “hammered phone” story had to get the ax, because the comments flying amongst Debra Myers, Cynthia Trowbridge and me were pretty amusing.
They will be even more amusing in retrospect...tomorrow. Right now, I'm quitting for the day. It's too dangerous for me to be around this new-fangled computer machinery thing.
Ready to publish again. Here goes....
