American Idol's Top Ten ... So, What Next?

Just thought I'd blog my thoughts before tonights 'Top Ten' show.
So, before last week's elimination, there were rumors flying around that AI was rigged and the final four had already been predetermined to be Danny Gokey, Lil Rounds, Adam Lambert and Alexis Grace.
Well, we all know that Alexis Grace was tossed, by the voting public and then by the judges themselves. Before she sang her last gasp maybe we'll save you, maybe we won't song, the judges told Alexis she was one of the ones they would consider "saving". Well, they didn't. Do you think her performance had everything to do with her being tossed or did the rumors of AI being predetermined have an influence on their decision. Me, I think she blew it, but am just wondering if you all think the rumors may have influenced the judges just a teensy bit.
Now I'm being totally politically incorrect here, but what does everyone think about Scott making into the top ten? I mean really, the guy is not that good and he's blind. How is he going to tour with them? I guess what Paula said about him being tied to the piano is the way it is going to be.
I personally was hugely disappointed by by Michael (the self-proclaimed roughneck from an oil rig). One would think that a roughneck from an oil rig and a huge country and western fan would come out and WOW the audience on Grand Ole Opry week. For me, his performance was really disappointing.
And then there was Adam. He did a rendition of Johnny Cash's "Burning Ring of Fire" that had Simon found horrific and opining that it was "absolute indulgent rubbish". I have no idea what anyone expected from this over-the-top flamboyant and hugely popular singer but I thought it was eerily creepy and excellent all at the same time. I mean he butchered the song if you are a total Cash purist, but this singer is not a country and western hoe down type of guy so honestly, it was not unexpected.
So, tonight we wait for the top ten to perform and wait to see who America will toss out the door (until the tour starts, of course). Thoughts anyone?
