Late Night Shopping

Last night, after spending all day in front of the screen scanning numerous documents for the NCROPA archive, I decided to do some late night shopping. Okay, it was only seven thirty, but I really didn't expect to find one of Sydenham's main supermarkets open at that time of night on a Bank Holiday Monday. Surprisingly it was, so I bought some garlic baguettes for the rest of the week and decided to pick up a few cans of coke - the real thing, truly.
Right next to each other on the shelves was 6 cans for £3.85 and 10 cans for £3.50, the latter heavily discounted. I had to stop and think about that, not because I was confused by the arithmetic, but because I couldn't believe they could make such a gaff. The only difference in the two was the packaging, so naturally I put a ten pack in my basket and made for the checkout.
I'd like to say there was a moral there, but...
