Oscar leftovers and ratings set to rise

Early ratings are tracking up from last year and perhaps will end up the highest rated since 2007, so the plan worked.
As the dust settled and the hangovers being nursed this morning here in Hollywood, the night was a success. Seth MacFarlane is getting good and bad reviews while Adele and Barbra Streisand made the Dolby Theatre stop and listen, as did the medley from "Les Miserables."
A night which spread out the awards, Hollywood honored its best and as usual, even mixed in politics which will have social media fired up. Having covered Red Carpet events 16t years, it never gets old, but it is very consuming. Access comes and goes and you must go with the flow. Get what you can and just be happy that you are one of the worldwide press that has some sort of access. Not to mention the food, drink and movie discussion that take place for Oscar Week.
By accident, I fell into the poolside pre-show with E! at the Roosevelt Hotel. A little down time was needed so, I too sat poolside. However, that was when the Bengal Tiger was brought in.
Any way, here are some leftover shots that I was not able to upload for some reason. Over the weekend, it was difficult to get onto the page, too. I was glad I was able to update the winners in real time and get a quote or two along the way Sunday night. My Twitter Feed and website went nuts. My usual box office report took a backseat and today is a travel day.
Stay tuned.
