If one doesn't think being a judge on those competition singing shows such as "American Idol" and "The Voice," can run into a few issues, think again.
With the contracts and the time spent on auditions and even more than meets the eye, the paycheck and the promotion must be worth it to them. However, it can hinder a tour and make overexposure a possibility. But, it can also help that promotion.
Now, Blake Shelton, judge on "The Voice," will be back on the road and he notes this: "My fans, country radio, friends, family, you name it -- they know I love to perform. With 'The Voice' schedule, I was not able to go out and perform as much as I wanted last year but I plan to make up for it this year," Blake said.
He said that despite going on tour last year, so one may want to read between the lines. Does the demands of "The Voice" get in the way?
He headlined last year with the Well Lit and Amplified Tour. Now comes time for his Ten Times Crazier Tour, which opens on July 19 in Virginia. Closer to home in Illinois, Shelton, along with Easton Corbin and Jana Kramer, play the First Midwest Bank Amphitheatre in Tinley Park on Aug. 3.
