Pinterest: The Future of E-Commerce

Men are usually early adopters of technology, but on Pinterest women make up
79 percent of the users
on the “social scrapbooking” website. It’s home to a desirable marketing demographic: women in their twenties and thirties.
Out of the top 15 categories on Pinterest, 80 percent are connected to commerce. Pins that have prices in their description are more popular then pins without.
The average order value on Pinterest is $170.36 and is followed by Facebook at $80.22 as well as Twitter at $68.72
