Open Letter to The Managing Editor: Mr Alexander Baron's Racial Slur on Nigerians

Dear Sir,
I would like to draw your attention to the article written by Mr. Alexander Baron, titled "Can a doll save the world's endangered languages?"
I am compelled to make a strong objection to the first statement of his article that reads: "The words innovation and Nigerian don't usually appear in the same sentence."
As a Nigerian, I find this statement offensive and insulting. It is a premeditated slur, deliberately targeted at an entire nation of 160 million people, as his statements in the comments section of his article show:

I am sure our Nigerian members will not appreciate the first sentence of this article.

Feel free to make this article Op-Ed because " The words innovation and Nigerian don't usually appear in the same sentence" is your OPINION.

No, it is a fact. Try a Google search.

While Mr Baron's special penchant for unabashed display of bigotry and prejudice is nothing new to regular contributors to Digital Journal, in this occasion he takes it to a new height that compels that he must be cautioned.
Mr. Baron is free to indulge in and keep his prejudices, but he would be wiser to keep them from an international forum as Digital Journal with writers contributing from countries in every corner of the globe.
Yours Faithfully,
JohnThomas Didymus
