New York Knicks gave an invitation to point guard
Oscar Bellfield, forwards
John Shurna,
Mychel Thompson and forward/center
Henry Sims to showcase their talents with the hope of making the Knicks roster.
Bellfield went undrafted coming out of UNLV after averaging 9.8 points, 5.4 assists and 2.3 rebounds in his senior season. He previously worked out with the Knicks twice before the draft.
Shurna went undrafted coming out of Northwestern where he averaged 20.0 points and 5.4 rebounds while shooting 44-percent from three-point range his senior season. He previously saw playing time in the
NBA Summer League with the
Atlanta Hawks.
Thompson played in five games with the
Cleveland Cavaliers last season, averaging 3.6 points and one rebound while shooting 36.4-percent from three-point range in 19 minutes per game. He is the brother of Golden State Warriors’ shooting guard
Klay Thompson.
Sims went undrafted after averaging 11.6 points and six rebounds his senior season at Georgetown.
Knicks open training camp October 2nd.
