So in Toronto, we got a poetry slam team reppin' the series I help run out of the Drake Hotel. One of those poets on the team is Britta B., a very talented poet who writes from the heart, telling us her personal stories, both troubling and inspiring.
Here she is performing one of her classics at a R.I.S.E poetry show, and this one's about her mom.
She's originally from North Carolina, and is now living in Toronto. She's dabbled in acting and also is part of a spoken word music group called the Banter. Her blog can be found here and her Twitter handle is @missbrittab. On a personal note, she's a fantastic and sweet person who has truly brightened our spoken word scene with her presence. Check her out live if you can!
What do you think? Know of any other great poetry vids to share?
