Due for a November 2012 release, The Company You Keep looks at the real-life story of an American activist part of the group The Weather Underground, played by Susan Sarandon. She goes on the run from a journalist (Shia LaBeouf) trying to track her down. A lawyer (Robert Redford) is also in the crosshairs of the journalist trying to piece the puzzle together.
The film is directed by Redford too, and the trailer was just released:
Looks like a taut thriller, and I've always enjoyed seeing Redford and Sarandon on screen. LaBeouf not so much. The subject matter sounds like it could be ripe with real-day applications, such as what happened last year with the Occupy protests.
I'll be reviewing this film when it debuts at the Toronto International Film Festival next week, so will keep you posted when it's online (just subscribe to the comment section below).
What new trailers have been wowing you recently?
