NBC goes with tape delay but viewers tune into opening ceremonies anyway

Leave it to a Hollywood director to makes us feel as if we need a shower and confession after an opening Olympic ceremony. Danny Boyle, of "Slumdog Millionaire" fame put on an odd display of dancing hospital patients and class warfare as the games are now underway in London.
But people watched, and here in the states, tuned in to a taped-delay affair. Personally, I do not like when entertainment and sports mix. I tune away from the Super Bowl half time show and do not care when politics enters the fray as well. Give me my sports, entertainment and politics, but please stop mixing them up into a bowl of soup nobody wants to eat.
