Air Canada charges $35 for customer service?

Posted Apr 4, 2008 by David Silverberg in Business
This is too priceless to ignore...
Air Canada is charging passengers up to $35 for "speedy" access to specially-trained customer service agents who will help rebook flights on Air Canada or other airlines, as well as pay for hotel stays and meals, if necessary."

Wait...Air Canada customers have to pay MORE for good customer service? So those who don't pay $35 have to get the sub-par script-readin customer service treatment? Give me a break!

Shouldn't airline be providing this service free? I find it disgusting that Air Canada has found another way to stick it to their customers with unnecessary fees.
