As Canada celebrates it's 145th birthday this past weekend, 'Españoles en todo el mundo' celebrated winning the Euro2012 and Toronto celebrated equality with the annual PRIDE parade that colours downtown with a rainbow flag.
Even the CN tower lit up like a rainbow on Saturday night. Beautiful.

While a lot of people head out of town on this long weekend, I decided to stick around. I have to work on Monday so it isn't really a long weekend for me like it is for most.

Their backyard is like an oasis coming from the hustle and bustle of downtown. Their beautiful salt water pool surrounded by trees and the sound of the waterfall is just what I needed after a crazy work week. And of course a dose of my nieces always puts things back into perspective for me about what is really important in life. Little Gillies hugs would make anyone feel better after a rough week.
Saturday evening I took Kirsten to the TFC game. Expecting a blowout (cause they are pretty much at the bottom of the barrel), they tied 1-1 in an incredible match. That and we had the best seats in the house too ~ never hurts. Great night!
