Sonia Falcone, Miss Bolivia 1988 and wife of businessman Pierre Falcone, is an accomplished artist. Over the years, she created various, colorful pieces: sculptures, video installations, paintings, and photographs. She also won several awards for her work, including an award for best video installation at the 2010 Santa Cruz Art Festival.
Sonia Falcone followed her career as an artist and exhibited her work regularly. Her past works were shown in La Paz' Nota gallery in July 2010, the Lorca gallery in Santa Cruz in September 2010, New York's PINTA exhibition of modern and contemporary Latin American art in December 2010, and the Miami international art festival in January 2011.
In April 2012, Sonia Falcone presented more of her work in Monaco. All of Monaco met around the artist's latest work at the 2012 Art Monaco fair, held April 5th at the Grimaldi Forum.
The day after the exhibition, a very exclusive dinner was held in the Salon Excelsior at The H ô tel Hermitage, where celebrities such as Delphine Chanéac, Princess Ira of Fürstenberg, Prince Serge of Yugoslavia, Princess Hélène of Yugoslavia, Lamia Kashoggi, Monika Bacardi, the Prince and Princess Moncada di Paterno, or even the Princess Antonella of Bourbon Orleans could be seen.
The event generated a lot of excitement and received coverage from numerous media such as ParisMatch. Sonia Falcone's work truly encountered a great success: all of her pieces were sold!
A question remains: Were the eyeball-shaped chocolates Sonia Falcone made for the event fully appreciated by the prestigious guests of Monaco?
