I don't have HBO and so I can't watch the latest season of the blockbuster hit Game of Thrones. I loved the first season and was really hoping to catch the second season...somehow.
I found out Game of Thrones is only available on HBO. There's no way to pay for it via iTunes or any online HBO service. No wonder it's been crowned the most pirated TV show of the year.
But I don't want to go that route. Torrents and streaming sites can be unreliable, the quality can be sub-par and I'm often not a fan of watching TV through my PC. I like the ten-foot experience - being far enough from my screen I don't get my eyes bugging out. As many of you know, I'm online very often for work so I like to take a break from being two feet away from a glowing screen.
Like I did for season 1, I'll wait for the DVD for season 2. There's no rush. I'm simply avoiding all recaps and tweets about Game of Thrones, ensuring that I'm fresh to season 2 without being tainted by spoilers. It's tough but I'm vigilant.
And with the DVD package, I can enjoy some behind-the-scenes footage, interviews with actors, and can have an easier time watching the videos on a portable DVD player I also own.
Anyone else feel the same, about any other show they watch?
