Sungha Jung, now 17, was born to play music at a very young age, and was inspired at three watching his father play.
Sungha, born in South Korea had a gift for music, playing by ear before he could read. Sungha has played with a variety of guitars, and is now playing with a custom-made Selma guitar, made by "Lakewood" a German guitar company.
In 2005 Sungha began recording songs and uploading them on Youtube, typically taking three days to learn and practice a new piece, and video-record. One of Sungha's first songs uploaded was "California Dreaming", one of America's favorites with over eight million hits, and rising.
Truly gifted, Sungha also enjoys playing the ukelele, piano, and is now learning the drums. He also feels blessed with a wonderful family, super dog, and an incredible little sister who along with his fans continue to support his love for music. His goal is to become a professional acoustic finger-style guitarist
As his Youtube fan base started growing so did the request for his appearances, which prompted him to do a personal video to answer questions from fans, and to celebrate his second anniversary on Youtube. A personal web site: [url=http://www.sunghajung.com]www.sunghajung.com. was created for him by makers and supporters. The web site offers a variety of information: there’s a news section and a page about Sungha’s history and development. They even arranged a FAQ page to handle the most frequently asked questions better.
Furthermore the site contains galleries of videos and pictures, a discussion board and a tour schedule. Sungha is mentored, and has performed with many famous professional guitar players. Germany seemed to be a favorite tour destination in 2009 playing at the Frankfurt Musikmesse, and at the Lakewood concert in Giessen.
One of his most enjoyable moments was when he spent some time recording "Coming Home" with friend and mentor Ulli Bögershausen in his home studio
Shungha released his first album in the summer of 2010 "Perfect Blue". KBS News, will get credit for the first mainstream new station who picked up Sungha's story reporting on his family, schooling, music, first concert tour for 2011.
Not owned by the corporate music industry, Sungha is supported by sponsors and fans that have learned about him on a global scale through the internet. In September of 2011 Sungha released his second album 'Irony', with 523 Youtube videos and over one million views. His channel had over 17 million views, with his videos getting a total of over 454 million views, and also over 726,000 subscribers.

Sungha is capturing audiences playing some of the most popular songs of 2011, like "Rolling In The Deep" by Adele, it looks like a truly amazing year for this young man. Sungha will head to Asia next, and end the year with a mini tour in the U.S.
Sungha's music resonates on the heart, and soul, as this collection of thirty six songs is just a mere glimpse into the sound of one of the world's greatest musicians. With an incredible future in front of him Sungha Jung's music is bringing back life in the world of the acoustic guitar.
