Great news for Europeans, bad news for chemical manufacturers: the Europe Union is planning to "phase out highly toxic pesticides" after a vote on Jan. 14, 2009.
According to an
article, "the law prioritizes action against pesticide ingredients which cause cancer, which are mutagenic or which can harm reproductive processes, including reducing fertility or causing birth defects."
