Yesterday, I came across a very funny video of Ronald Reagan at the 1988 Republican National Convention, in which he pokes fun at Lloyd Bentsen and Michael Dukakis.
In the 1988 United States presidential election, one of the most famous vice presidential debate moments happened.
Dan Quayle compared himself to President John F. Kennedy in terms of experience. Lloyd Bentsen, the Democratic vice presidential candidate, corrected him with these remarks:
It was hilarious and thrilling to watch (I was born the same year)!
At the Republican National Convention, Ronald Reagan said this:
I was not a fan of Ronald Reagan's presidency, but he did espouse the right message. What I was a fan of, though, was his humor. When I was sick yesterday, I was sifting through a bunch of videos from the elections of 1980 to 1996. Reagan was, indeed, a funny guy.
