Martha Stewart has won an Emmy and spent time in prison. But, in between and after, she is still a business.
Now, that business is coming to PBS with a new cooking show inspired by her best-selling book. That book is titled "Martha Stewart's Cooking School." It is designed to be a teaching series.
Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia brings the public this show that will give American home cooks a culinary master class on a new weekly PBS television show debuting this fall.
Each 30-minute episode will feature Martha demonstrating classic cooking techniques and basics, says a statement released by Omnimedia.
"PBS is the perfect home for this series. We'll show viewers how to prepare classic dishes as well as how to use proper techniques, said Stewart in a statement.
It also indicates that Stewart will be using her signature, step-by-step, how-to teaching process. Furthermore, she will illustrate the building blocks of recipes everyone should know (from roasting to poaching to braising and blanching). In addition, every episode will feature Martha imparting tips and tricks, inspiring and educating home cooks everywhere.
"This new series combines so many of my passions: teaching and encouraging others," said Stewart. "We will break down classic recipes for home cooks and inspire them to add their unique twist. I'm excited to get into the kitchen and connect with audiences across the nation," Stewart added.
