This has never been done before for this ABC show. Then again, it hasn't been on all that long. Anyway, ABC has announced an open casting call for "Bachelor Pad."
Now, get this. One huge rule is that those who want to get in on this cannot have appeared on any of the shows related to this one. OK, that narrows down the field, doesn't it?
"Bachelor Pad" is set to debut July 23 but deadline for applications are April 29.
Here is how to apply: Remember, the key is that ABC is looking for participants who have never appeared in a "Bachelor" franchise. If chosen, they will join previous Bachelors and Bachelorettes for "a chance at love." To enter, go online to fill out the application and submit a photo. One must also submit a two-minute video as well describing why you like the show. That alone may not be easy for all, but it could show great acting ability. If the show's producers like the video it will be posted on the site. Fans are then invited to vote for their favorites and leave comments. One disclaimer here might be needed. The comments are not always kind so be prepared for that, too.
The show is looking for "fresh faces that have the charm, wit and personality to compete for love. Applicants must be 21 and over."
