Updates continued: 'Back soon' (to reporting daily on DJ) has lapsed to 'later'...but

My freelqncing gigs near Madison and Milwaukee pay enough to cover all my essential needs and many of my extra "wants" now, so my efforts to find niches of (almost) steal-proof news stories to report on DJ and gain speed publishing with the tablet instead of the laptop lagged. Passion and pay interconnect in my life.
But I claimed an assigment today (that is due tomorrow) and put up a draft, hoping for the best again, though I wrote I had given up on using the assignment desk feature, because I found others were preempting my efforts more often lately, with this happening often enough to generate passion-dousing frustration. On this pay scale, I refuse to spare the precious hour or more re-writing from a different angle when this happens, which is likely to be often, given the setup here, similar to the operation of other content websites I have joined. So I am still brainstorming my new approach(es).
I've been having fun exercising my optimism while playing with cat, cameras and DJ's image uploader during recent sunny, blossomy, leafy, breezy Spring 2012 days in south-central Wisconsin:

Spring 2012 was still greening and blossoming around Dane County, Wisconsin, in early April, but this tortoiseshell cat watched tree-shadows dancing over red granite one crisp, breezy mid-afternoon.
