Tomorrow will be my fifth anniversary as a member of Digital Journal. In that time I have written almost 7,700 articles and had over 3.8 million views.
During this time I have covered stories on about every subject under the sun. I found my niche in Toronto news with a focus on crime reporting.
I have branched out and now run a news source for Toronto with some amazing writers, including a few that also write here at DJ.
Digital Journal has been a learning experience that I value even on the days I have a mental dart board set up.......
I have been blessed with meeting face to face some truly incredible and interesting people who I now treasure as friends like Kymm, Carolyn, Margaret, Bryen and Bart. I have learned how to deal with editors and how to drive editors slightly insane. It's been an important task as now I walk in their shoes at my own site.
I have seen the best that DJ can be as well as the worse. There have been times when I have been so ticked off that I almost quit. It's the red hair devil chile in me.
From the death of Michael Jackson to covering the G20 I have grown as a journalist. At least I hope I have.
Thanks for the time so far and hope to continue to grow here in the future.
