Today is Telephone Maintenance Day

Important - Please Share -Today is Telephone Maintenance Day All of the landline and mobile telephone providers will be conducting maintenance beginning a 10:00 p.m. Eastern time today. The maintenance is only supposed to take 1 hour but it could be as long as 2 hours. Here are the general instructions: For landlines take the handset off of the cradle and place it in a trash can or plastic bag before 10:00 p.m. Eastern time and leave it that way unti 11:00 p.m. or until you hear a dial tone. Mobile phones should be placed in a plastic bag before 10:00 p.m. Eastern time and left there until 11:00 p.m. Flip phones should be opened. The reason the phones need to be placed in the trash cans or plastic bags is to capture the debris that will come out of the phone when they blow compressed air through the line to clean any dust or other material from the lines and speakers. Please check your latest phone bill for specific instructions for your area. After the maintenance your calls should be completed faster and the sound quality will be greatly improved.
