Something about trivia has always intrigued me. Maybe it's due to my love of news, of wanting to learn more, of that quest for knowledge. Or could be that I grew up on
Jeopardy!
For the past five months or so, I've been thoroughly enjoying the smartphone app
Qrank, available on iOS. A game of Qrank only takes three minutes and features questions from a range of topics, such as science, entertainment and sports.
Where it stands out, though, is its variety: the questions are always new and never canned, a new trivia every day. In fact, you can't play Qrank twice in one day because it's just one set of questions cultivated per day, which is fine by me, I barely have time to play it daily.
Qrank often includes trivia about news stories of the week, which is always attractive to a Digital Journal addict like myself.
A feature allows you to play Qrank with friends who have the app, too, but so far none of my buddies have downloaded it, so I'm unable to test that add-on.
