There's more than just the Oscar show

As Oscar Week approaches, it is the word week that is true. Not only does the week include the awards, going up to them there are a bevy of activities for movie lovers.
Here are a few examples. All events take place at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills.
On Tuesday, Feb. 21 at 7:30 p.m. shorts will be presented. It includes a screening of all ten nominated films in the animated and live action short film categories. Then there is a panel discussion.
On Wednesday, Feb. 22 at 7:30 p.m. documentaries take over and includes clips from the nominated short subject and feature-length documentaries. Oh yes, a panel discussion as well.
On Thursday, Feb. 23 at 7:30 p.m it's time for an animated symposium. Clips from the nominated films and an on stage discussion with the filmmakers will commence.
On Saturday, Feb.25 at 10 a.m. A panel discussion with the directors of the movies nominated in the Foreign Language Film category, plus brief clips from the nominated films. On the same day at 2:30 p.m. A discussion with the nominees in the make-up category will take place.
