Antidepressants taken by expectant mother's may affect a baby's blood pressure

Expectant mothers who take a certain type of antidepressant may increase the possibility of their babies having a higher lung-based blood pressure level in early life.
The research, published on January 13 by the British Medical Journal, shows a connection between SSRIs (Selective Seretonin Reuptake Inhibitors), the well-known antidepressant Prozac among them, and a risk of persistent pulmonary hypertension in infants.
