Tim Tebow, what do we really know about this guy? Everyone knows he has conquered the Pittsburgh Steelers, and he is a man of Christianity. But did anyone ever hear the story of him before this sudden NFL fame? In his senior season at Nease High School in Ponte Verde Beach, FL; Tebow led his team to a Class 4A State Championship. He took it to Armwood High School, a team that is from the Tampa Bay area but resides in Seffner, FL. He then committed to play at the University of Florida. At the University of Florida, he was the backp freshman QB who came in for plays in the red zone when they needed to run the ball. He and the Gators went on to win a national championship against Ohio State. In his sophmore season, he won the highly pestigious Heisman Trophy. In his junior season, he led the Gators to their second national championship in 3 years with a huge win over the University of Oklahoma. During the celebration at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium in Gainesville, he announced that he was coming back for one more year. In his senior season, his perfect season was spoiled by the eventual national champions, University of Alabama in the SEC Championship game in 2009. Tebow was taken in the first round of the draft with the 25th pick in the 2010 NFL draft by the Denver Broncos. He only started twice in his rookie season. But 6 games in, he became the starter and led the team to the AFC West Championship and a playoff berth. Since he's started, we've learned alot about him and his religious beliefs. He's heavily criticized for his what some people call "DUMB LUCK!" I say he's truly an inspiration to people who are christians, people who believe they can do anything, etc. Tim Tebow is an amazing young man and a heck of a player. From beating a heavily favored high school to win a state championship; to winning 2 national championships, a Heisman Trohy and his first NFL Playoff game.
