Huh? Tickets for 'The Dark Knight Rises' already on sale

As "The Dark Knight Rises" in 2012, tickets sales are, too. That's right, tickets for the much-anticipated film are already available. Yes, the film is to be released in July and this move is unusual but look for this to start a trend perhaps. The show business magazine Variety is reporting this news. They note IMAX tickets for the July release are on sale - - for a price. Apparently they found out the tickets were on sale at San Franciso's AMC Loews Metreon for $17.50, for adults of course. This applies to the Midnight screenings. Besides San Francisco, tickets are on sale in Los Angeles and New York. As for Chicago, no word yet. The release date for "The Dark Knight Rises" is July 20. Trend? Variety also indicates that tickets for "The Hunger Games" are on sale Feb. 23. The film opens a month later. Batmannews.com says the Lincoln Square 13 theater in NYC are already sold out.
