This holiday season, my fiancee and I had the chance to relive some of the old cartoons from the 1990s. Being born in 1988, I had the opportunity to view some of the best stuff during the '90s.
Besides "The Simpsons," my personal favorite television show of all-time, I enjoyed viewing a show called "Dr. Katz." I remember I would watch it on Fridays at midnight. On Mondays, I would get to school and try to engage in conversations about the show. Unfortunately, no one watched it.
The show is about a psychiatrist, it's hilarious. Also, viewing this show as a young lad most likely accounts for my odd behavior and sense of humor (if you read any of my screenplays, plays or short stories, you'd understand the neurotic and eccentric characters).
Regarding "The Critic," I've probably published a blog about this a couple of months ago. But I absolutely love watching this show on YouTube. Although I didn't watch it as a kid, I began to watch it last summer. My only pet peeve about this show was that it didn't focus much on films, but it did contain many references, which I did enjoy.
My fiancee suggested a cartoon series called "Pond Life," which was quirky to view and provided some chuckles. I generally don't find British humor all that funny, but the show did have some funny bits.
Do you have any favorite 1990 cartoons, besides The SImpsons?
