Hello There

First up, may I say thank you for reading this, my first blog post on digitaljournal.com My name is Neil Burke, I am currently an unemployed writer, mainly of comic books but in 2011 I also had a prose short story published as well as a poem - my first ever poem and in this new year I want to take things one step further - not only will this year see the release of at least five separate comic books but also a collection of short stories and essays, an RPG game-book, a choose-your-own-adventure style crime book and a novel that I am aiming to release on Halloween. These for the most part will be self-published but several of them will be shipped around to publishing houses before hand. Another thing I really want to get into this year is 'Citizen Journalism' which will involve me reporting on mainly things going on in the comic book industry but also every now and then on other subjects such as politics, science, crime and local events.
