When the Tortoise Cat and I strolled around our Dane County, Wisconsin neighborhood we found the day had faded to drab by mid-afternoon. Still, we insisted on appreciating our rapidly
winterizing surroundings.
There are always new surfaces to scratch, more heights to scale and favorite places to notice contrasts, changes and remains.
I imagined all the evergreen life around here calling out for the first snowfall to brighten the scene.
Winterizing...Winter-I-ZING. Or "Winter, I sing!" Heheh.

This tortoise cat prefers living, natural outdoor scratching posts.

How high can this Tortoise Cat climb? The leash is longer still.
