YES WE CAN!

I am so excited that the country now has a better and renewed hope for our future! We had gotten dragged into the mire of hopelessness and an endless war with no real end in sight, and whatever the good intentions, things certainly appeared to be going down the proverbial drain and circling fast! We as U.S. Americans always want to fix everything, and that desire certainly is a gift; but without prayer and honesty and wisdom, our priorities can get way off track, as we have seen from the last eight years in American politics? And I hope that we have learned our lessons well enough to not repeat our mistakes of the recent past? Brute force cannot fix anything as delicate as a broken tea cup, nor can brute force repair anything as fragile as human lives gone a little or a lot off track! To go into other countries and nations, invading to fix what’s wrong, even if is it quite wrong, no matter how sincere the intent to rescue the oppressed and make America and human freedom more secure, as we can see from the last eight years, we might’ve done it all wrong? And to storm in, invade and execute others leaders, no matter how mad they are, throwing all our young people’s lives at the problem, money and our young people’s lives, might not’ve been the right answer at all? You cannot free any people who have little idea of what real freedom is! America has become broken though all the right intentions and people have lost their homes, incomes and daily food; and we just keep sending more young lives and more billions of dollars to fight a battle already both won and lost! Won as we did ‘liberate’ a people tortured by fear and living in daily tyranny! But lost because there were no weapons of mass destruction anywhere to be found, and yet we still we not concede (really) and just get the “H” out! It is time to thank the Lord for giving us new leaders who are young, promising and vibrant; as well as a new president that is healing our old racist sins that we have carried so long up to now! Now people can be people and all Americans can unite truly as one! And colour and culture is an asset and not a curse, and God Himself has heard the many prayers of the oppressed and of the reasonable to put the White Supremacists in their place! And it seems that many of the religious have learned to stop “straining at a gnat” in regards to what matters first, like love, mercy, understanding and kindness, and will no longer be “swallowing” that proverbial “camel” that Jesus warned His followers and anyone that would listen to His Message about?! For truly my friends, “Mercy triumphs over judgment!” And it has now in this most blessed election and answered prayer! Amen! Yours, Father Joe Christian!
