Update: LA County Judge reduced James Stewart’s bail from $123,000 to $30,000. By all indications, James Stewart will be out of jail Friday morning. As long as he does not engage in the sale of unpasteurized milk and cheese.
Rawesome Foods, which is a private buying club that offered its customers raw milk and cheese along with other products was raided, the crime, processing milk without pasteurization along with four counts of conspiracy stemming from their allegedly illegal production and sale of non-pasteurized dairy products.
State agents raided the store yesterday. In the search warrant, authorities were authorized to seize any possible evidence of “interstate transportation,” including tax records, real estate transactions, billing records, purchasing and club records, emails, receipts, cash register data, credit cards receipts and inventory records.
Police also were ordered to seize Stewart’s computers and electronic devices, address books, telephone numbers, contacts, client lists and business cards. Stewart is being held on $123,000 bail. Via Food Freedom Alliance
And Here We Are: How far is this rabbit hole?
From this video it clearly points out the problem with tracing back any contamination. Independent farms, local farms cuts through all that garbage. Yet the safest way is thrown out the window because the demand is to great. This issue is clearly a double edge sword.
This law included many agencies in order to implement the new change which include:
The chiefs of the Agriculture, Labor, Health and Human Services, Transportation, Education and Homeland Security departments as well as the heads of the Environmental Protection Agency, Federal Trade Commission, National Drug Control Police, Domestic Policy Council, Corporation for National and Community Service and others. The purpose is to criminalize anything that has to do with food if it does not comply with federal guidelines.
