The Agents: Onesiphorus
The Lord grant mercy to the household of Onesiphorus, for he often refreshed me, and was not ashamed of my chain; but when he arrived in Rome, he sought me out very zealously and found me.

2 Timothy 1:13-18
When we read the book of 2 Timothy, we're reading the final letter of the apostle Paul, who was imprisoned in Rome and awaiting execution. Everyone associated with Paul was also in danger. "All those in Asia have turned away from me," he said in 2 Timothy 1:15. In chapter 4, he wrote, "All forsook me" (v. 16).
But there was an exception—a man named Onesiphorus. While everyone else was running away from Paul, this man was running toward him. He rushed headlong into danger, believing his mission was to strengthen and support the great apostle in his dying days. Onesiphorus is one of the Bible's lesser-known heroes. He's only mentioned in the book of 2 Timothy. But his courage and loyalty to Paul serve as his epithet throughout Christian history.
The Lord has a mission for each of us. Don't run away from it. Whatever the cost, let's be audacious and faithful in the task the Lord assigns.
All giants have been weak men who did great things for God because they reckoned on His power and presence to be with them.
