The image you are looking at is not a CGI monster concocted by Hollywood. It's a magnified look at a "hydrothermal worm marine organism," which lives in Earth fissures that places water and hot gasses in contact.
The worm was captured with a Quanta Scanning Electron Microscope and the technology magnified the lil guy by 525 times.
