Even
after Ricky Gervais openly made fun of
way too many movie stars back in January's Golden Globes, Johnny Depp is
still a fan of Gervais as he is set to appear in his new show, according to
musicrooms.
Depp has reportedly agreed to appear in upcoming sitcom Life's Too Short, which is set to air on BBC2 in the UK and on HBO in the U.S. Shooting begins in May, with some critics labelling this new sitcom a cross between Matt Le Blanc's Extras and Larry David's hit sitcom Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Gervais commented on Depp's movie The Tourist by saying:
"It was a big year for 3D movies. Toy Story, Despicable Me, Tron... seems like everything was three-dimensional except for the characters in The Tourist".
Despite this controversial comment while hosting January's much-debated Golden Globes award ceremony, Depp seems to have simply laughed it off and by appearing in Gervais' new show (and by doing so will rocket ratings I'm sure) he has shown that he is very much
still a Ricky Gervais fan, unlike so many other Hollywood stars.
