.The High Court on Sunday granted former commerce minister Amir Khasru Mahmud Chowdhury three-month bail in two cases.
The HC bench of justices Mirza Hossain Haider and Mamnun Rahman also stayed the case proceedings for the same period.
The former minister filed the writ petitions to the HC on Sunday challenging the legality of the graft cases – the GATCO case and allocation of 18 government houses.
Advocate Khandaker Mahbubuddin Ahmad stood for him in the hearing of the petitions while deputy attorney general Syed Afsar Jahan represented the state.
