Student alleges teacher sex affair

Student claims he had a sexual relationship with a teacher is now suing for 2.5 million.

Trevor Donohue, is claiming he had a sexual relationship with his teacher Amy Mullins, 29. His mother learned about it when her son was in grade 12 ( 2001-02). She complained to the principle. The principle and the school board are both named in the lawsuit. However the school board is saying the first they heard about the abuse was last month and they immediately removed the teacher from the school where she was working as a librarian recently. Trevor claims they had oral sex in a portable classroom and also in the teachers mothers home. The suit seeks $2.5 million for assault, battery, breach of duty and negligence, as well as aggravated and punitive damages.

He believed they were in a loving relationship. He attended her cousins wedding with her and she went to his family funerals. She went on his school soccer road trips with him even though she was not a coach. They spoke of marriage he said. The age of sexual consent in Canada is 14 years old. Again another adult abusing their authority and teaching role to a kid. They cannot charge her with rape because he was over the age of 14 and consented to the sex. I believe the age is way to low and should be raised and this is one example of why.
