To learn why a resurgent Taliban is fighting American and NATO troops to a military draw in Afghanistan, you have to go to the frontier region on both sides of the Pakistan- Afghanistan border.
Gall's reporting has determined that Quetta is an important rear base for the Taliban, and that the Pakistani authorities are encouraging and perhaps sponsoring the cross-border insurgency.

First of all, give me an honest answer.

Is Pakistan alone response for militancy in Afghanistan?

US and its allies are responsible for the militancy. After the fall of Soviet Union , It was their responsibility to disband the militias they created to fight the soviet army. They left Pakistan in the lurch to deal with the crisis.

They are equally responsible for the crisis. Blaming Pakistan alone will not absolve them from the crime. They should help Pakistan to overcame this militancy.
