Auburn beats Alabama for first time in the last 8 meetings.
Auburn (13-8, 3-3) shelled No.12 Alabama (15-4, 2-3) 81-57 tonight on the Plains in Auburn, Alabama.
Auburn scored the first 8 points of the second half to turn a 36-35 halftime deficit into a 43-36 lead and the Tigers never looked back.
Auburn has now won 2 straight ranked opponents after beating then #22 Tennessee this past weekend.
"Korvotney Barber scored 18 points, Frank Tolbert added 17 and Josh Dollard had 16 for the Tigers. Quan Prowell had 14 points, 10 rebounds, four assists and three steals"
Ronald Steele led Alabama with 19 points and Jemareo Davidson had 18 points and 11 rebounds as the Crimson Tide has suddenly fallen to 4th place in the SEC's Western division.
