Flight attendants working for AirTran Airways in Florida had enough of obnoxious passengers-- including one 3-year-old little girl, whom they kicked off the plane.
The Kulesza family were kicked off their flight after their three-year-old daughter, Elly, refused to take her seat before takeoff. This seems dangerous, but Julie and Gerry Kulesza said all they needed was a few more minutes to calm Elly down.
The Kulesza's were flying home to Boston on January 14th from Fort Myers. They boarded the plane but unfortunately they wouldn't make it home on that flight. According to AirTran spokeswoman Judy Graham-Weaver, Elly was climbing under the seat and hitting her parents as well as refusing to take her seat before takeoff.
The airline says it can't be faulted because it was merely following the Federal Aviation Administration's rules that children age 2 and up must be in their own seat and wearing a seatbelt upon takeoff.
"The flight was already delayed 15 minutes and in fairness to the other 112 passengers on the plane, the crew made an operational decision to remove the family," Graham-Weaver said.
The Kulesza's flew home the following day and have been reimbursed $595.80, which is the full cost of the three tickets. They were also offered three roundtrip tickets to anywhere AirTran flies.
The family has basically rejected this offer, who say they will never fly AirTran again.
