Check to see whether your credit card or social security card numbers are stolen and found in the internet via StolenIDSearch.
The information that powers StolenID Search is found online, by looking in places where fraudsters typically trade or store this kind of information. All information behind StolenID search is publicly available, but not in places where you, or even search engines such as Yahoo and Google, would look.
Identity theft is a really big and really expensive problem. In the U.S. alone, ten million people per year fall victim to identity thieves and sometimes it takes years to track down what’s happened, shut down fake credit accounts in victims’ names and restore their credit and name to good standing. Shredding mail and other personal documents is not enough to protect yourself, either. Last year, over 50 million consumer data records were lost by corporations. Under these conditions, we need to monitor constantly whether our cards are stolen or not, this StolenID Search by Silicon Valley's Trusted ID company, makes that possible. You just type in the Credit card number or Social Security Number, it will search the databases that are not commonly found via regular search but in certain online sites (where the stolen data are traded). It gives an instant answer, if it is stolen it will tell you how to protect yourself. Here is a screen shot of StolenID Search how it works:
Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting
If it is not stolen, you can still register for free StolenID monitor, where you can enter three maximum credit card number and your social security number and your e-mail address, they will search constantly if it is stolen and is on the internet, they will contact you immediately via e-mail. There is a worry even this data entry of the social security number maybe compromised, but they say without your name, the number doesn't have a value. There is a Verisign sign in this site authenticating it is a trusted business. So check this free site and protect yourself from credit card and data fraud.
