Korean pop star's suicide rings with eerie familiarity . . .
This story caught my eye, because in a month when there has been a lot of talk about young female pop stars gone bad, this story has a familiar ring to it. It's a small world.
Britney, Lindsey, Paris, Nicole - wealth, youth, too much too soon, lack of ethical boundaries, drugs, pressure, all have been discussed as the reasons why these young women seem to crash and burn. This young woman won't came back from the brink.
Twenty-six year old U-nee, a Korean actress and singer, was popular with youth across Asia. She was known for her beauty, catchy pop-tunes, sexually-charged dance performances and her immodest wardrobe. Sound familiar? She was found by her grandmother, having hung herself, today in her apartment.
Family members report that she had struggled with depression and with the pressures brought on by her excessive fame. Her third album is set for release on February 1.
