Rosalie St. Jean 17, was paralyzed from the neck down after diving into shallow water last August. Brice Cormier was born with a rare heart defect that has doctors wondering if she'll make it at all. Her mother said she has a 30% chance of living to age 10.
So the town of Whitby came together and held a fund raiser dinner for the girls. The dinner cost $30 and they held raffles as well.
Both families have financial hardships with the hospital stays and the treatments. Rosalie also needs a wheel chair assessable car as well to help make the trips to the hospital a lot easier on her and her family.
I think it is great when communities get together to try and help others in need. Both girls will have many years of difficulty and hospitals. I wish them both well.
