Analysts, detractors wonder if Microsoft's dominance is nearing the end??
“But Microsoft's legion of detractors roll their eyes, calling the new Windows a weak imitator of other operating systems. Meanwhile, technology analysts wonder whether Microsoft's dominance is nearing an end, since programs coming over the Internet are emerging as a more powerful force in computing than software tied to individual desktops.”
He is not much optimistic about Vista, neither in terms of earning nor the stability and the foundation. I personally agree there are better server products in the market for their reputation in security as well as stability, but than again, Windows is perhaps the far most user friendly and I don’t see home users throwing it away. Infact, many small and medium sized organizations prefer Windows platform too for the ease.
