Passport processing delays

By tdotcspot     Jan 20, 2007 in Travel
A heads-up for Canadians who need a passport in a hurry.
The Canadian Passport Office is warning that an extra 5-20 business day delay could be tacked onto your passport processing time.
The delay is caused by a sharp increase in passport applications. As of January 23, all Canadians travelling into the United States by air will require a valid passport.
If you apply in person at a Passport Canada office, it will take a minimum of 10 days to process the application; at Canada Post, 15 days, and by mail, 20. These times don't include the expected delays.
