UPDATE -- Gold medal returned to Paralympian

By Carolyn E. Price     Jan 20, 2007 in Crime
Gold medal dropped in mailbox, mail sorters find it and return it to paralympian.
A Paralympic gold medallist's nightmare has come to an end and he gives the credit to hockey Hockey Night in Canada commentator Don Cherry's impassioned plea to the thief last Saturday night for the medal's return.
Paul Rosen who was a goaltender for Canada's gold medal winning Sledge Hockey Team, had his gold medal stolen last week at a charity event. He is now estatic that it has been returned.
The medal was dropped in a mailbox in Downsview, in the north part of Toronto, and was later discovered at a sorting station, where postal workers empty the daily collection mailbags.
Rosen says this experience will not stop him from letting fans get close to his gold medal, and is thankful to the people who have supported him.
The story has a happy ending. Finally.
