KEEP AN EYE ON YOUR CREDIT REPORT IF YOU ARE A TJX Cos. Inc CUSTOMER!!!
Do you shop T.J. Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods, A.J. Wright or Bob’s Store. If so you could be one of the many customers to have had there private credit/debit card and checking account information breached by these “off-price retailers.”…
TJX Cos. Inc., which operates the T.J. Maxx and Marshalls chains, said Wednesday that the computer systems that process its customer transactions had been breached, and customer information had been stolen.
This actually happened in mid December but is now being brought to the publics attention. According to the article it was said that the company “notified law enforcement immediately after discovering the breach, but it said it kept it confidential at the request of law enforcement.”
This also effects stores owned in Canada at Winners and HomeSense as Brandigal reported earlier.
If you are concerned about your information because you have shopped at one of these retail stores you can call the list of numbers below.
866-484-6978 in the United States
866-903-1408 in Canada
0800-77-90-15 in the United Kingdom and Ireland
I have not ever personally shopped at one of these retailers but I would be concerned about the person who hacked the systems motive. The information that was breached will more then likely be used for Identify Theft. So keep an eye on your Credit Report.
